A Message from Dr. Maetozo
To all of our valued patients,
I just want to update everyone and let you know that we are open for business!
We have taken all CDC guideline recommendations and have made some changes in the office to protect our staff and our patients. We ask that only patients come into the office. We understand that often you like to bring a support person but at this time, for the safety of our staff and other patients, we request patients ONLY in the office.
We have removed all magazines and literature from our waiting room and all chairs and surfaces are sanitized multiple times a day.
If you prefer to wait in your car, check in and give us your cell number and we will text you when ready for you. Our staff members are wearing masks for your protection and we request that you wear some type of nose and mouth covering to protect us. It can be a handkerchief , scarf, homemade mask etc. it does not have to be a medical grade mask . Also people have been wearing gloves.
We spray every door handle before and after you are there. We ask that you do not wear gloves as these are meant for one time use and should be immediately disposed of if you touch a surface. This is a waste of gloves and is creating more medical waste for us as well as bringing germs into our office from your gloves!
We have hand sanitizer readily available and request you use it upon entering the waiting area . You may use its again when you leave. This is safer, cleaner and more economical than wasting gloves. or wearing contaminated gloves. It also decreases the medical waste!
Every room is sanitized before and after each patient and all staff wash their hands with antiseptic soap before and after each patient. Every patient gets a temperature check upon entry and questioned regarding travel and or illness symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, we ask you to reschedule PRIOR to coming.
If we determine you have a temperature or symptoms while in the office, we will reschedule you . We are doing all exams and procedures that do not require protective equipment.
We have suspended in office surgeries until the state allows it again, likely after may 8.
In summary, we have made every effort to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff and we encourage you to continue with your regular appointments .
If you have any question or concern please call the office. Please stay safe, social distance, wear nose and mouth covering in public , wash your hands frequently or use sanitizer and DONT TOUCH YOUR FACE!
We will get through all this together and we are here for you!
